When was the last time you completed a social media audit on all your profiles? Keeping your online presence consistent and up to date can be a challenge, but it’s always a good idea to check things out a couple times per year.
Here is a checklist of tasks that will help you to quickly complete a social media audit.
Review your profile photo
Being recognized across all social media channels is important. You should use the same profile photo on all channels. Consider updating your photo with something new and fresh. You don’t want to use a photo that’s a couple of years old.
Review your profile headers
Has it been a while since you updated your headers? Do your headers have a similar look and feel across social media channels? If you keep everything consistent, you are more likely to be recognized.
Update your about section
Have you expanded your services? Does your about section give a good description about you and your business? Consider updating, if necessary.
Make sure your contact information is correct
People that find you should know how they can get in touch with you. Make it easy.
Review your social media statistics and strategy
Evaluate what’s working well and what’s not. What types of post get the most engagement? Has a particular channel brought in new clients or performed better in terms of building your list?
This would be a great time to update your social media strategy. Make sure you identify a few measurable goals and that they align with your business goals. Specifically outline your primary and secondary channels so you know where to focus your time and energy on engagement.
This list is purposefully short and simple. Spend a little time and give everything a once over. If you feel a major overhaul is needed that’s okay too.
